He has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and his numerous awards include first place from the Associated Press Sports Editors in the Best News Story category. He is also the author of Pride of the Lions: The Biography of Joe Paterno, as well as And the Walls Came Tumbling Down: Kentucky, Texas Western, and the Game That Changed American Sports. He lives in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
